Nas Thinks You Deserve A Better Shave So He's Doing Something About It

Rapper Nas is promoting a new line of electric trimmers with the goal of helping to keep his male fans’ faces silky smooth.

Nas has joined with Bevel as a the first brand ambassador to promote the Bevel Trimmer, a new product the rapper believes will revolutionize the grooming industry.

The Bevel Trimmer was created by Tristan Walker’s company Walker & Company Brands and targets people with coarse, kinky or curly hair and helps to reduce those pesky razor bumps.
The device has some patented technology that allows it to inhibit bacterial growth and comes with snap-on, snap-off blades that are easily adjusted via a “Bevel Dial.” The trimmer is cordless and packs 4 hours of battery life.
Most importantly, the device stays cooler much longer than a traditional trimmers and clippers.
Nas and Bevel’s founder Tristan Walker hit the streets to talk to Master Barbers, to get input on their needs as they created the Bevel Trimmer, which can be used in barbershops or at home.

New Bevel Shaver
Nas is backing the new Bevel Trimmer, which hits stores this Spring.

“This product is needed. It’s kind of crazy that there hasn’t been any real innovation in this space. We deserve better. When Tristan first showed the Trimmer to me and my barber, we knew it was a game-changer because it has what barbers and consumers want – it cuts precise and clean lines, it’s powerful, clean and well-designed. I think people are going to love it.” – Nas

Nas is an investor in Bevel as well and was part of an early raise that netted Walker & Company Brands $6.9 million in funding from Andreessen Horowitz, Upfront Ventures, Collaborative Fund and others.
The company recently raised another $24 million in a Series B led by Institutional Venture Partners (IVP), Andreessen Horowitz, Upfront Ventures, Daher Capital, Collaborative Fund, Google Ventures and others.
Walker also has the co-sign of powerful celebritites like Magic Johnson, John Legend, Ryan Leslie, who are individual investors in the company.
The Bevel Trimmer isn’t cheap with a price tag of $179.95, but Nas and Walker are betting that the investment in the trimmer will pay off in the long run.
“We’ve re-engineered an essential grooming tool, creating the most advanced device for trimming and shaping coarse or curly hair,” said Tristan Walker, CEO of Walker & Company Brands. “Informed by exhaustive research into what Master Barbers and our customers alike wanted, Bevel Trimmer is another way we’re delivering on our promise to make health and beauty simple for people of color.”
