One Of The World's Biggest Drug Dealers Has To Fork Over A Half-A-Billion To The U.S.

One of the world’s biggest drug dealers this just received a life sentence, and in the process, the government got over a half-a-billion dollars richer.
Alfredo Beltran Leyva was just condemned to life in prison in the U.S. for his role as the head of the massive Beltran Leyva Mexican drug cartel.
Leyva admitted to the feds that he shipped multi-tons of cocaine into the United States each year, from at least the early 1990s, until 2014, when he was finally brought to justice in Mexico and extradited to the United States.
Over the course of those 30 years, Leyva is accused of using the money to live the high life, and wage war on rival cartels like the Gulf Cartel, MS-13 and of course, El Chapo’s Sinaloa Cartel.
He even had his own song.

But the U.S. wants “some” of the money back, so in addition to confining Leyva to rot in a cell for the rest of his life, he ordered the forfeiture of $529,000,000 million in assets.
Take a look at what $500,000,000 can get members of the world’s biggest drug cartels.
