LA Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma And Detroit Pistons’ Andre Drummond Square Off On The Court For Children

Two teams made up of celebrities and entertainers will join “coaches” LA Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma and Detroit Pistons’ Andre Drummond to compete for charitable winnings.
Presented by the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour and Live Nation, this special event will raise money and awareness for multiple charities in addition to the host beneficiary, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend’s WHO Cares initiative Teen Cancer America.
A broad blend of world-class athletes, artists, actors, and celebrities will join coaches Kyle Kuzma (Los Angeles Lakers) and Andre Drummond (Detroit Pistons) to participate in the game and compete for the charitable winnings.
Along with halftime music performances by multiple globally recognized artists to be announced in the coming weeks, the $50K Charity Challenge will feature celebrity commentator Peter Rosenberg (Hot 97/ESPN), and will be hosted by DJ Felli Fel (Power 106), with many more special guests and surprises to be announced.

“I’m excited to be a part of this special event along with many other athletes and entertainers whom are all giving back for a great cause, especially here in LA. I look forward to seeing a lot of Laker Nation come out and represent.”- Kyle Kuzma

Thanks to team sponsors Charity Bids and Boom Cups, the winning team will receive $30K for the charity they will represent.
“Featuring large scale production and entertainment, a premium venue, an eclectic mix of celebrities, and a competitive-based fundraising element; the $50K Charity Challenge is an exciting and fresh approach to the traditional celebrity basketball game. Bigger than the game itself is the time, effort, and unity of everyone involved, all in the name of goodwill,” shared Idol Roc/Outbreak Presents Founder, Steven Ferrar
The remaining donations will be made via additional, entertaining fundraising elements, which include a halftime 3-Point Shootout and Free Throw Contest, with each celebrity participant representing a charitable organization.
All additional net proceeds from the event will benefit Teen Cancer America.
Complimentary tickets are being donated to youth programs, hospitals and the underprivileged in the L.A. area.
The inaugural $50K Charity Challenge Celebrity Basketball Game will hit the hardwood at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion on Tuesday, July 17 the night before the ESPY Awards.
Doors open at 5:30pm, followed by red carpet at 6pm, and opening tip-off at 7pm.  The official after party will be held at 1 OAK LA.
