While the news of Tyga’s relationship with Kylie Jenner and his multiple lawsuits dominate the news, the rapper is attempting to make moves in the world of technology.
Last month, Tyga inked a deal with Cashplay and Games2Win to produce apps that he will promote and hopefully cash in on.
Tyga’s app “Tyga – Kingin’ World Tour” is backed by Cashplay, which is a global real-money global sports tournament provider.
The agreement with Tyga is the first of a series of deals the company has struck with celebrities, to endorse the cash tournament enabled mobile games.
Cashplay created an “endless runner” game for Tyga which includes an original soundtrack, based on Tyga’s life. Players can compete against each other in real-time for actual cash prizes. Although his business practices are frequently scrutinized, the deal kind of shows Tyga is attempting to be a prolific businessman.
Under the terms of the deal Cashplay, has secured the rights to Tyga’s games for two years. During that time, they will develop apps and fund the tournaments that take place in the game.
Tyga’s other investments include his nationally distributed Last Kings, apparel line, which has a flagship location on Melrose Avenue and a sneaker deal with L.A. Gear. The Last Kings line is seen in front of millions of viewers, who watch “Kingin’ With Tyga,” a new reality show that airs on MTV2.
