Rapper Snoop Dogg hosted The 2015 BET Hip-Hop Awards for the third straight year in Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend, which ended with a bit of drama.
Artists like 2Chainz, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, Rich Homie Quan, Raury, Travis Scott and others hit the “Green Carpet” to celebrate their success over the past year.
The 2015 BET Hip-Hop Awards featured performances from T.I., Young Dro, Dej Loaf, Rich Homie Quan and others. Ludacris honored Houston rap icon Scarface with the “I Am Hip-Hop Award.”
“I’m not shit without y’all,” Scarface said acknowledging his fans.
In an ironic twist, the rapper was busted at the Boisefeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, right after he was celebrated. Police in Atlanta cuffed Scarface, born Brad Jordan, after he accepted the “I Am Hip-Hop Award” and hauled him to the Fulton county jail for not paying child support.
Prior to his arrest, Scarface hit BET’s “Green Carpet” in grand fashion as one of the evening’s highlighted award winners.
Other rappers like Vince Staples, Black Thought, Casey Veggies, Keith Murray and Beatboxers Doug E. Fresh and Rahzel, all took part in the annual “Cypher” segment. The 2015 BET Hip-Hop Awards are scheduled to air October 13 at 8:00 PM EST.
