We are only a week into 2016, yet several rappers have planned major outings this month to start the new year.

If you are a fan of lyricism, trap music, or old-school Hip-Hop, there are several notable acts hitting the road in January.

If you don’t have a few hundred or even thousands of dollars to spend on Firefly or Coachella, then catching some of these acts on their individual tours may work out better for your pockets.
So without further ado, let’s get right into it.


G-Eazy Tour

Rappers G-Eazy and A$AP Ferg just kicked off the “When It’s Dark Out” tour on Tuesday in Portland, Oregon. It’s the first major tour for G-Eazy, who had a big year in 2015. The Bay Area rapper’s sophomore album When It’s Dark Out debuted at #1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and the Top Rap Albums Chart. G-Eazy’s trek with Ferg through the United States will be making stops in the cities like New Orleans, Boston and Chicago. Then, the pair will hit the skies to continue the “It’s Dark Out” tour in Europe. G-Eazy will handle the last leg of the tour in Australia by himself, in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.


Lupe Fiasco Tour

Lupe Fiasco set the Internet abuzz when he dropped the artwork for his upcoming album, currently titled DROGAS. However, before that hits the streets, Lupe is going to rep “For the Fans” on his latest tour. Lupe’s “For the Fans” tour will get on the road January 13 with Billy Blue, The Boy Illinois and ZVerse. Lupe tapped Brazilian graffiti artist Pixote to handle the artwork for the tour.

If you’re a fan of Lupe Fiasco, make sure you get your tickets now cause this tour will not last long. It’s a 17-date tour that ends on February 13 in Indianapolis.


OG Maco Tour

Atlanta rapper OG Maco just dropped his new mixtape “The Lord Of Rage.” The tape features nine tracks including the first single, “Ape Shit.” OG Maco, who is label mates with Migos on the Quality Control imprint, was one of XXL’s Freshman Class of 2015. He will begin his ‘The Lord Of Rage Tour’ of Europe on January 27.


Young Hustle Tour

Hip-Hop label 300 Ent. is showcasing their artists this month on the “Young Hustle” tour. Rich the Kid will headline the 15-date trek, which kicks off at the Bronze Peacock in Houston, Texas. The “Young Hustle” tour will travel to major markets like Philadelphia, New York and Chicago, before winding down in Dallas, Texas on February 3 at the Cambridge Room.


Trae tha Truth Tour

Hustle Gang member and Houston rap OG Trae Tha Truth is preparing to drop his eighth solo album Tha Truth Pt. 2 on February 5. Trae is capitalizing on the buzz surrounding the album’s first single “Takers,” featuring Quentin Miller, by launching “The Truth Tour.” The rapper and his ABN crew hit the road on January 9 for the opening date in Oklahoma City, and the tour will roll through cities like New York, Virginia Beach, San Francisco, Denver, and Kansas City before the final date in Lansing Michigan on February 12.


Naught By Nature

Veteran Hip-Hop group Naughty by Nature has patched up their differences to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Trench, Vinny and DJ Kay Gee are embarking on their 25th-anniversary tour, which will hit 25 different cities this year. The Grammy Award-winning Hip-Hop group will perform their classic singles like “Hip-Hop Hooray,” “O.P.P.” “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” “Uptown Anthem” and others.
