Over 63,000 people recently crowded into the Georgia Dome during Honda’s Battle of the Bands (HBOB) that featured performances by Ludacris and Musiq Soulchild. Honda shelled out over $200,000 in institutional grants and scholarships to the eight universities the participated in the musical battle.
The 14th annual Honda Battle of the Bands (HBOB) Invitational Showcase highlighted the best marching bands from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the United States. The best eight marching bands went head to head with each other for their respective institutions to see who had the best choreography and performance.
As a show of solidarity over 2,000 students marched together in the mass band at the 2016 HBOB and for the first time, the closing show featured all eight bands and a drum line.
