Check out 50 Cent’s limited edition NFL EFFEN Vodka bottle |
In between 50 Cent’s shots at rappers Meek Mill, Rick Ross and Diddy, something interesting is happening.
The rapper, who is in partnership with EFFEN Vodka and all of those disses are helping the brand’s sales soar through the roof.
As you can clearly see by his Instagram and Twitter feed, 50 has promoted EFFEN vigorously in between insults that until recently, were mostly directed at anyone associated with Diddy and Ciroc. But now the rapper is taking full advantage of the eyeballs on his social streams thanks to his second major war with Maybach Music, this time with rapper Meek Mill.
50’s strategy on social media seems to be paying off, at least for EFFEN. In addition to the insults, 50 posts himself traveling via private jets and hitting exclusive parties with celebrity A-listers.
EFFEN is made by Beam Suntory, a multi-billion-dollar company that also creates spirits like Jim Beam, Courvoisier, Makers Mark and a lot of others. According to Jason Dolenga, the Senior Brand Director of Vodka over at Beam Suntory, the sales of the vodka have shot up since 50 came onboard.
“50 Cent is one of the hardest-working businessmen out there and has played an integral role in the triple-digit growth of EFFEN Vodka this past year.” – Jason Dolenga, Senior Brand Director, Vodka at Beam Suntory
EFFEN knows exactly what’s going on with 50’s Instagram page too, where 50 Cent has popularized the hashtag #nopuffyjuice, which has kind of caught on, garnering almost 10,000 thousand of posts. According to EFFEN, their partnership with 50 Cent includes retail programming and brand-sponsored events and integration into 50’s performances, his music videos, and his social media extensions.
50 Cent established his partnership with EFFEN In early 2015, just a year after the company was created through Suntory’s purchase of the American based brand Beam for $16 billion.
